Every alarm has a real repeat schedule rather than a row of weekday boxes: every day, chosen weekdays, a day of the month, a weekday of the month such as the second Tuesday, or once a year, with exceptions and a skip for just the next one. A vacation setting holds every alarm until you are back, without turning any of them off.
Each alarm and each timer carries its own alert: tone, volume and gradual build-up, vibration pattern, a flashing torch, a spoken label, how long it rings, and how snooze works. To make sure you are awake, an alarm can ask for a sum, a shake of the phone, or a held tap before it stops. None of them can lock you out: they keep the alarm ringing while you try, and fall back to a plain tap if the phone or the moment cannot manage them.
Timers and stopwatches sit alongside the alarms, and a calendar tab shows what the day holds. A missed alarm is always reported, and an alarm history shows exactly when each alarm rang and how it was stopped.
