Big Two Express is Big Two, the shedding game also called Pusoy Dos and Dai Di, for four players, each on their own phone. Play a single, a pair, three of a kind or a five-card hand higher than the last, or pass, and be first to empty your hand.
About Big Two Express
Big Two is the card game of Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan and Indonesia, and it takes four people at one table. Big Two Express keeps the game and drops the table: one phone hosts, the other three join it with a short code, and nothing needs a server or an account. Bots take any empty seat.
Thirteen cards each, and the order runs 3 up to the ace, then the 2 highest of all; within a rank, diamonds are lowest, then clubs, hearts and spades. The holder of the 3 of diamonds leads, and the first play has to include it. A play is one card, a pair, three of a kind, or a five-card hand: a straight, a flush, a full house, four of a kind with any card, or a straight flush. Beat it with the same number of higher cards, or pass; when everybody else passes, the last to play starts again with anything.
The first player out ends the hand, and everybody else is charged a point for every card left in their hand, doubled at ten cards or more and tripled at thirteen. When a player reaches the limit, 50 unless the table chooses 30 or 100, the lowest total wins. A table can also make a pass last for the round.
Made for the journey
- No internet, no mobile data. The phones talk to each other directly, so a game carries on through tunnels, ghats and stretches with no signal at all.
- Everyone on their own phone. Nobody passes a handset round, and nobody sees a hand that is not theirs.
- Short of players? Bots take the empty seats, each with a setting for how closely it follows the play.
- A dropped link is not the end of the hand. A phone that loses the connection can join the same table again.
- No sign-in and no real money. Install it, open it, play.
