The rules of Rummy
Thirteen cards each, from one deck or two. A card is cut as the joker: every card of its rank is wild this hand, and so are the printed jokers.
On your turn, draw from the stock or take the top card of the discard pile, then throw one card onto the pile.
Go out by laying all thirteen in sequences (three or more in a row, of one suit) and sets (three or four of a kind, of different suits). You need two sequences at least, and one of them pure: no joker standing in. Then declare: the host checks the hand, and a hand that does not hold up is refused, not punished.
You may drop instead of playing on: 20 points before your first draw, 40 later. When somebody goes out, the others count what their cards cost, capped at 80. The lower the total, the better; in a match, a player who reaches the limit is out.
